Bruno Bock Commissions New Control Room at Marschacht Site
After 18 months of construction, the new Central Control Room (CCR) of the Bruno Bock Group was commissioned at the Marschacht site in July 2021. The control room is used for central control and monitoring of the 24-hour shift operation in the continuous production process. All employees in this area have moved to the CCR in September. Previously, the various workstations were spread all across the site.
The latest standards in terms of automation, energy efficiency and safety were implemented in the construction of the control room:
- Due to the high level of automation, quality deviations in the production process can be detected more quickly and remedied more effectively.
- In order to continuously reduce energy-related services, the control room is heated with waste heat from production and is equipped with an efficient ventilation concept. This means that no fossil fuels are required for air conditioning.
- Particular attention was paid to safety during installation. The topic covers the occupational safety of employees, the safety of people in the surrounding communities, and the safety of the environment.
Production manager Dr. Frank Ebmeyer is satisfied with the successful launch: “Thanks to the new control room, we can once again increase our product quality and stability. This is another safety aspect which benefits our customers worldwide.”
