The Evabopol^® portfolio offers a variety of widely compatible chain transfer agents (CTA) designed to provide our customers full application versatility with regards to their individual process.

Brand Promise

Our Evabopol^® product line derives from our product streams of thioglycolic acid (TGA) and mercaptopropionic acid (MPA). Based on these two acids we have developed a series of highly reactive chain transfer agents for the control of chain length and molecular weight distribution in free radical polymerisations. The Evabopol^® portfolio consists of the water-soluble acids TGA and MPA as well as a selection of water insoluble esters of these acids with different alcohols. Especially the nature of the alcohol has a significant influence on the diffusion behaviour of the CTA in the polymerisation process.
